Dusk Diary

An evening
that was yours.

Something to do, something to read, something to write. Tell it how you feel and how long you have, and it takes it from there.

Something to do nowSmall things, matched to the time you actually have and the energy you actually have.

Sound and a clockReal recordings for working, or for switching off.

A journal and a libraryMorning and evening lines, reading, exercise, cooking, and a hundred case studies.

No account. No sign-up. No tracking.

Everything you write and everything you do stays on this phone. The app has no server to send it to, and it works with no connection at all.

Dusk Diary

Reading

A few lines at a time, with an end. Never a feed.

Doesn't have to be tomorrow. Whatever's actually useful.

Tomorrow

Not in the sample

This part is in the full version.

One payment. Everything, at once. Not a subscription, and not paid for piece by piece — every section, every planner page and all 100 lessons open together and stay open.

Nothing about how the app works changes. Buying happens on a payment page outside the app; your key is then checked on this phone, offline. No account is created and the app still sends nothing.

    Your own files

Opened straight from your phone. Nothing is uploaded and nothing leaves the device.

    Journal

    Today

Nobody reads this but you. It never leaves the phone.

    My top 3 tasks

If only these get done, today was a win.

    Sound & timer

    Sound and a clock.
    Then get on with it.

Start it, get to work, and the clock keeps your time for you. Or set no timer at all and just let the sound run.

    Sound

Real recordings, not generated noise. Nothing is downloaded — they're already on your phone.

    How it plays

    How long

Not working — just tired and want to relax instead? skips the timer.

    Privacy Policy

    Privacy Policy

    Last updated: 5 September 2026

The short version: this app does not collect anything about you. There is no account, no server, and no analytics. Everything below explains that in full, including the two places where other companies are involved.

    1. Who this is from

Dusk Diary is made by [YOUR NAME OR COMPANY], based in [YOUR COUNTRY]. If you have any question about this policy, or about your information, write to [YOUR EMAIL].

    2. What the app collects

Nothing. The app does not ask for your name, your email, your phone number, your location or your contacts. It does not create an account for you. It contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels and no third-party code of any kind.

The app makes no network requests other than loading its own files from the website it was installed from. Once installed it works entirely offline.

    3. What is stored, and where

The app saves things on your own device so it can remember them between sessions:

    • Your journal entries
    • Which things you have marked as done, and your streak
    • Your settings, such as light or dark and your chosen sound
    • Your unlock key, if you bought the full version

This is held in your browser's local storage on the device itself. It is not sent anywhere, is not readable by us, and is not readable by any other website. Nobody but you can see it.

If you use the "open your own file" feature, the file is read directly from your device to play or display it. It is never uploaded and never copied into the app's storage.

    4. Deleting everything

Settings → Reset everything erases all of it immediately and permanently. Deleting the app, or clearing your browser's data for this site, has the same effect. Because we never receive any of it, there is nothing for you to ask us to delete and nothing for us to hold on to.

The reverse is also true and matters more: if it is gone from your device, it is gone. We cannot recover it. Settings → Save my progress to a file makes a backup you keep yourself.

    5. Buying the full version

Payment does not happen inside the app. It happens on a checkout page run by [PAYMENT COMPANY], who handle your card details and your email address under their own privacy policy. We never see or store your card details.

We receive your email address and order reference so we can send you your unlock key and answer support questions. We keep those for as long as needed to support your purchase and to meet tax and accounting rules, and we do not sell them, rent them or share them for anyone else's marketing.

Your unlock key is checked on your own device using a signature. It is not sent anywhere and does not require an internet connection.

    6. Emails from us

We only email you about the app if you separately choose to receive it, by ticking an unticked box or signing up on a page of your own accord. Buying the app does not sign you up. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe, and unsubscribing never affects anything you have paid for.

    7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to see, correct, export, delete or restrict the use of information about you, and to object to it or complain to a regulator. As explained above, the app itself holds nothing about you, so in practice these rights apply only to the purchase and email records described in sections 5 and 6. Write to [YOUR EMAIL] and we will respond within 30 days at the latest.

    8. Children

This app is for people aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18.

    9. Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top and, where the change is significant, show you a notice in the app. Continuing to use it after that means you accept the updated version.

This policy describes what the app actually does. If you ever find a difference between the two, tell us at [YOUR EMAIL] and we will fix the app or the policy, whichever is wrong.

    Terms of Use

    Terms of Use

    Last updated: 5 September 2026

By using Dusk Diary you agree to what follows. It is written plainly on purpose. If you do not agree with any of it, please do not use the app.

    1. Who may use it

You must be 18 or over. By starting the app you confirm that you are.

    2. What you get

A personal, non-exclusive licence to use Dusk Diary on the devices you use, for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not resell it, redistribute it, republish its written content, or present its writing as your own.

    3. Buying the full version

The full version is a single payment. It is not a subscription, nothing renews, and nothing is charged again. Every part of the full version unlocks at once — there is nothing further to buy.

Your unlock key is personal to you and shows your email address inside the app. Sharing it means sharing your own email address with whoever you share it with. Keys found to be shared publicly may stop being honoured in later versions of the app.

A one-time purchase covers the app as it exists when you buy it. We intend to keep adding to it and expect additions to be included, but we do not promise any particular future feature or update.

    4. Refunds

If the app does not work for you, write to [YOUR EMAIL] within 14 days of buying and we will refund you in full. You do not have to give a reason. Where the law where you live gives you stronger rights than this, those rights apply and nothing here reduces them.

    5. This is not professional advice

Dusk Diary is for general information and personal habit-keeping. It is not medical advice, therapy, psychological treatment, crisis support, legal advice, tax advice or financial advice, and using it does not create a professional relationship of any kind.

If you are unwell, injured, or in distress, speak to a doctor or a qualified professional. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services. Do not rely on an app.

    6. Movement, exercise and food

Some suggestions and library sections describe physical activity or cooking. They are general ideas, not a programme designed for you, and we do not know your health, your fitness or your circumstances. Take part at your own risk, work within your own limits, stop if anything hurts, and check with a doctor before starting anything new if you have any health condition, injury, or are pregnant. Follow ordinary food safety and check ingredients for anything you are allergic to.

    7. The business and money writing

The case studies and reading sections summarise publicly reported accounts of real companies and named individuals, for commentary and education. Figures are as reported by their sources, some are self-reported and unverified, and some will be out of date. Nothing in them is a recommendation to start, buy, sell, price, or invest in anything, and nothing in them should be relied on for any business or financial decision. Take your own advice from someone qualified and accountable to you.

    8. Your own content

Anything you write in the journal is yours. It stays on your device and we never receive it, so we claim no rights over it and could not use it even if we wanted to. You are responsible for keeping your own backups — see Settings.

    9. No warranty

The app is provided as it is. We do our best to make it correct and reliable, but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose of yours.

    10. Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data arising from your use of the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app. Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded — and nothing here affects your rights as a consumer under the law where you live.

    11. Ending it

You can stop at any time by deleting the app. We may withdraw the app or stop supporting it; if we do, anything already installed and unlocked keeps working on your device, because it does not depend on us being here.

    12. Changes and law

We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. These terms are governed by the law of [YOUR COUNTRY], without affecting any protection you have under the law of the country you live in.

Questions about any of this: [YOUR EMAIL].

    Your key

    Paste your key.

It came in your receipt email. It is one long line starting with DD1.

Checked here on this phone. Nothing is sent anywhere, so this works with no signal. Keep the email — the same key works on any phone you use next.

    Thank you

    It's all open.

Every section, every planner page, all 100 lessons. Nothing else to buy.

If you'd like to hear when something is added — a few times a year, no more — there's a page for that. Skipping it changes nothing; you keep everything either way.

    Settings

    Your writing

It lives on this phone only. Phones can clear a web app's storage after a week or two unopened, and a lost or reset phone takes it with it. A saved file is the only copy that survives that.

    Reading

    The full version

You are reading a free sample. One payment opens every section, every planner page and all 100 case studies at once — not a subscription, and nothing about where your writing lives changes.

    Legal

Dusk Diary is a habit and reading app. It is not therapy, medical advice or crisis support. Move at your own pace, stop if it hurts, and check with a doctor if you have any health condition.

    Helping test this

Off. Turn it on only if you were asked to help test.

    Start again

This erases your journal, your streak and everything else on this phone. It cannot be undone. Save a file first if you might want any of it back.
